Okay. I have one rat- Yuki- that I have had for probably two months now. And then- I think four or five weeks ago my step-dad got a rat for his snake- but the snake wouldn t eat it so- got it and I named it ruby (it s one of those white rats with the red eyes..). Both of the rats have been in my bedroom for a week and a half now- right next to each other- but not touching.
Would it be okay if I put Ruby in with Yuki?
Because the cage that Ruby is in has the locks broken off (the thing that connects the cage itself and the base) and the door opens easily. I eventually will get a larger cage so they both can fit in it- which will be when I move them- if it s okay. I m pretty sure it is- but just checking to make sure.
I just found out that Ruby is a guy. It has male parts. I was cleaning out his cage and sadl
(accidentally pressed enter.) 5continuing.. I sadly saw the male parts. Just f.y.i.
We are still whittling down are baby name list. We d love to hear what others (unbiased) think about our names. Please rank them from most favorite to least favorite. Thank you!!!

I recently posted a question on here about cavvys for my sister. she has decided to go for either a ruby or black and tan. She cannot find one anywhere so she asked a couple of breeders if they had any older retired females she can give a loving home to.
there was a black and tan which she is going to see tomorrow- has been spayed but is overweight. 12kilos (26lb). she knows this may be because she has had 2 litters and spaying has a side effect of putting on weight but would it be possible to gradually bring her down a little and lose a bit of weight or would this be difficult? She knows she will fall in love with her as soon as she sees her and will do anything to take real good care of her. she is 3 and a half yrs old and is Full ped KC.
Will it be too difficult and would she look odd losing weight? she really wants to try to reduce any serious health issues.
thanks for answers

the darned parents are? I mean- they re NEVER there and Ruby is responsible for taking care of Max all the time. Weird! I know Grandma sometimes shows up for "tea" or whatever but she never does any sort of discipline. They leave that up to the big sister who is HOW old? She can t be more than 8 or 9 and Max is what- four? I ve seen them go downtown on the bus- she bakes cakes- puts him to bed- etc. Have they ever referred to the parents at all? I ve seen most of the episodes- but never anything on the Mom or Dad. They must consider her extremely responsible to be capable of taking care of her brother ALL the time LOL.
P.S. I know the show can be EXTREMELY annoying as Ruby is a little control freak who stifles her brother s imagination and causes his misbehavior half the time. I also end up singing the darned song for a good hour or two afterwards...catchy in a bad way LOL. My son loves it though and we watch it together & talk about Max s behaviors.
