I am going to have an intercaste marriage and in order to avoid any future problems with our religious bias- we thought of having a mangalsutra made to merge both religions. We thought of having a north indian mangalsutra model pendant with a south indian mangalsutra at the end. We were planning to have the pendant made of diamond and ruby. thats when a colleague of mine told that rubies or any other precious stones are not fixed on a mangalsutra except for diamond. is it true? is it considered wrong?

i need to know this- cuz my friend says you can t but if that s true- there wouldn t be anyway to complete the pokedex on the later games.
